RATP Dev USA: Banding Together in Times of Need

(OCTOBER 31, 2024 – Ft. Worth, TX)

In the wake of Hurricane Helene, our commitment to community and solidarity shone brighter than ever. This hurricane left significant damage across Asheville, Buncombe County, and Augusta, Georgia, with many local residents struggling to regain a sense of normalcy. Responding to this need, our locations across the RATP Dev family mobilized to support those affected. Our teams came together, bringing donations and aid in a powerful display of unity and compassion.

The initiative was spearheaded by our team at The COMET in Columbia, South Carolina, who took on the crucial role of organizing and coordinating our collective relief efforts. Through a company-wide campaign, our locations gathered an impressive array of essential items: water, snacks, portable chargers, hygiene products, and more. Altogether, this collection amounted to hundreds of pounds of donations, with each item a testament to the generosity and teamwork of our people.

From start to finish, The COMET team handled every logistical detail. They received the donations, carefully sorted and packaged them, and ensured the goods made their way safely to the impacted areas. Then, they loaded up the supplies and made the journey themselves to Asheville, Buncombe County, and Augusta, delivering these donations directly to those in need.

Seeing the compassion and teamwork of our team members reminds us why the RATP Dev USA values of being United, Caring, and Effective truly matter. When our communities need us, we don’t just show up – we bring our best, whether that’s packaging essentials or driving miles to lend a hand.

Our heartfelt thanks go to The COMET team for leading this initiative and to each and every person who contributed to these relief efforts. This response is proof that we are always stronger together, and that quality transit means quality care for our communities.
