- Safety Policy
- The overarching framework that sets the direction and objectives for the SMS. It establishes the organization's commitment to safety, defines safety objectives, and outlines methods and organizational structure for achieving these objectives.
- Safety Risk Management
- The process of identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing mitigation strategies. It ensures that risks are proactively managed and reduced to an acceptable level, aligning with the safety objectives set in the Safety Policy.
- Safety Assurance
- The continuous monitoring & evaluation of the effectiveness of implemented risk controls & overall safety performance: conducting audits, inspections, and analyzing safety data to identify trends, measure safety performance, & ensure compliance
- Safety Promotion
